The Sussex Centre for Language Studies runs the Language Learning Centre, an open-access learning resources centre in Arts A on the university campus. We have facilities for autonomous study of many languages, using audiovisual resources, a wide-ranging film and documentary library, satellite television from seven countries, worksheets, magazines and newspapers, graded readers and reference materials such as dictionaries and grammars.
We have a collection of links to other websites useful for language study, divided by language. Please browse the pages of links from the menu on the left. You may also find the general links pages useful, regardless of which language you are learning.
If you're looking for informal language practice, you can subscribe to our 'language buddy' Study Direct site www.sussex.ac.uk/languages/buddy and use the forums to advertise for someone to chat with in your target language; we also organise an occasional language buddy evening to bring together Sussex students who are learning foreign languages with overseas and exchange students who are studying English.
